The Dilemna

I drew this picture a couple semesters back when the coursework was getting impossible. I ended up getting straight A's that semester anyway, dammit, I can do it this semester too! I can do anything if I just put my mind to it. Same goes with just about anybody else too.

Oh, and just for the heck of it.... Buddha's Lunch:

Are these really subduction zones?

Here is the ages of the Oceanic Lithosphere:

In this map, the white colored in line is supposed to be Subduction Zones and the black dotted lines are supposed to be Sea Floor Spreading areas:

So, are they really subduction zones though? I think they probably are. However, to me, it looks as though there is much more crustal spreading going on than there is subduction going on, a lot more. Perhaps that's due to the expansion of Earth's Iron Core as it cools.

Money Myths

This link contains additional explanation of how US banks work: MachinesLikeUs - Money Myths

The gist of that is banks make money out of debt by virtue of the fact that people take out loans that have interest rates attached to them.... more specifically, our government's money is currently backed by 90% debts that can never possibly be paid off (IOUs) and 10% gold, and that ratio just gets adjusted for inflation as necessary.
